We start the day with a pickup from your hotel or meeting point at 08:30 a.m. to head towards the south of Cusco.
Our first stop is the Archaeological Complex of Tipon, a masterpiece of Inca hydraulic engineering. You will marvel at the agricultural terraces and the system of irrigation channels that are still flowing with water today, honoring the Andean element of life.
Next, we visit Pikillacta, a massive pre-Inca city belonging to the Wari culture. Unlike the Inca stone structures, this site features geometric designs made of adobe and plaster, offering a unique contrast in Andean architecture.
Finally, we arrive at the colonial village of Andahuaylillas to visit the Church of San Pedro Apóstol, famously known as the "Sistine Chapel of the Americas." Inside, you will be amazed by the stunning baroque art, murals, and ceilings covered in gold leaf.
After immersing ourselves in history and art, we will return to Cusco, arriving approximately at 3:00 p.m. (15:00), leaving you free to enjoy the rest of the afternoon.
