We begin our adventure with a hotel pickup at 08:30 a.m. to head towards the beautiful plains of Chinchero.
Our first stop is the traditional village of Chinchero, where we will visit the colonial Church of Monserrat. Built directly atop the remains of the Inca Tupac Yupanqui's palace, this church is a stunning example of religious syncretism and features beautiful floral frescoes and Spanish architecture.
Next, we continue to the archaeological site of Moray. Here, you will see the famous circular terraces that served as an agricultural research center for the Incas, creating different microclimates to experiment with crops.
Then, we descend towards the Salineras de Maras (Salt Mines). You will witness thousands of natural salt pools that have been harvested by local families since pre-Inca times. The contrast of the white salt against the Andean mountains makes for spectacular photography.
Finally, after a day full of discovery, we will return to Cusco, dropping you off in the city center around 3:00 p.m. (15:00).
