Day 1: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Your experience begins early with a hotel pickup at 04:40 a.m. for a private bus transfer to the train station in Ollantaytambo.

At 07:45 a.m., we board the Peru Rail Expedition Train. Enjoy a scenic journey of nearly 2 hours winding along the Vilcanota River until we arrive at Aguas Calientes town at 09:15 a.m.

Upon arrival, we immediately board the bus up (Consettur) to the entrance of Machu Picchu. There, your professional guide will lead you on a fascinating tour of approximately 2.5 hours through the most important temples, plazas, and terraces, revealing the mysteries of the Inca civilization.

After the tour, you will have free time to enjoy lunch in Aguas Calientes town (at your own expense) before heading to the station. The return train departs at 6:20 p.m. (18:20), arriving in Ollantaytambo at 8:30 p.m. (20:30), where our private transport will be waiting to drive you back to Cusco.

Arrival at your hotel in Cusco is scheduled for approximately 10:30 p.m. (22:30).
