Day 1: Cusco – Cusipata – Rainbow Mountain – Cusco

We start the day before dawn! Our team will pick you up from your hotel between 04:30 a.m. – 05:00 a.m. to begin our journey south through the Vilcanota Valley. After a 2-hour drive, we stop in the town of Cusipata for a nutritious Breakfast.

We continue for another hour to the trailhead (Phulawasipata). Here, our expert guide will give you safety instructions before beginning the hike. The trek to the summit takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Along the way, you will see llamas, alpacas, and the majestic Ausangate Mountain peak.

Upon reaching the summit of Vinicunca (5,200m / 17,060ft), you will have plenty of time to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view of the 7-colored mountain, take incredible photos, and rest.

We then begin our descent back to the parking area, where our transport awaits to take us back to Cusipata for a well-deserved, delicious Buffet Lunch.

Finally, we return to Cusco, arriving approximately at 6:00 p.m. (18:00), dropping you off near the city center.
